Student orientation:
Student orientation is conducted individually through the Canvas learning management system. This includes a detailed walkthrough of the online platform, review of academic policies and codes of conduct, instructions for accessing course materials and submitting assignments, and an introduction to the various student support resources available. Students will also complete a technology assessment to ensure they have the necessary hardware, software, and internet connectivity to succeed in the online format.

How the acceptance of transfer credits or credit by examination will be validated for this modality:
Dominium Institute has established a partnership with MYIEEE, an approved international education evaluation company, to thoroughly validate transfer credits from other institutions. This comprehensive evaluation process is overseen by our program director to ensure all transfer credits align with our rigorous academic standards and program requirements. Students are provided with clear guidance on the documentation needed and can expect a response within 10 business days.

Additional disclosures (criminal background check, licensure exams, language offered, medical exams/physical requirements, etc.):
Dominium Institute requires all students to complete a criminal background check and drug screening through our partner Complio (American DataBank) prior to enrollment. This is a standard requirement to uphold the safety and integrity of our programs. Entrance exams are also administered securely through ATI with online proctoring, leveraging advanced technologies to prevent academic dishonesty. Additionally, we disclose that the language of instruction for our online programs is English and outline any specific medical or physical requirements for participation.

All course materials, including digital textbooks, multimedia learning resources, assessments, and supplementary content, are provided to students electronically through the integrated Elsevier and Canvas platforms. Students have 24/7 access to these comprehensive digital materials, allowing them to learn at their own pace and revisit concepts as needed throughout the program.

Faculty members evaluate student work in accordance with the policies and guidelines outlined in the Faculty Handbook. Exams are delivered through a secure Elsevier platform that utilizes adaptive testing and automated grading functionality to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely feedback for students. This streamlined process allows faculty to focus on providing detailed, constructive feedback on assignments and projects.

Timely response to students’ questions and comments:
Our dedicated faculty members are committed to responding to student inquiries within 24 hours, ensuring that learners receive the support they need to succeed. In addition, the Dominium Institute administration is available to assist students Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm E.S.T., providing guidance on academic, technical, and administrative matters.

Attendance and record keeping:
Student attendance and academic records are closely monitored through the Evolve Elsevier platform, which is fully integrated with our online course delivery system. This allows us to track student engagement, identify any attendance or performance issues, and maintain comprehensive records to support student success and academic integrity.

Internships/Externships/Labs:
Students complete virtual labs and simulations through the Sherpath Vantage system with Elsevier. These immersive experiences are designed to replicate real-world clinical scenarios and are overseen by our dedicated clinical coordinator to ensure students develop the necessary skills and competencies.

How transcripts are maintained by the school/obtained by students:
Student transcripts are securely maintained and accessed through our partnership with Parchment, a trusted transcript service provider. This ensures the confidentiality and integrity of academic records, while also providing students with a convenient way to request and share their transcripts as needed.

Students enrolled in our online programs receive comprehensive technical support through Elsevier’s designated customer service team. This team is available to assist with any issues or questions related to the online platforms, digital course materials, or other technical aspects of the learning experience, ensuring that students can focus on their studies without disruption.

Each student must provide their own laptop or desktop and be responsible for maintaining a subscription to an internet service provider .

Dominium Institute will encourage participation in a study group. The college may also coordinate a formal study group where students can regularly participate in sessions with a facilitator to lead discussions.
